Compensation

Money - It's all about the cash. Or is it?

The almighty paycheck - it is what weekends were built around, weren't they? Maybe that is what it was fifty years ago, but times have changed and benefits such as paid time off, flexible schedules, and generous employer-paid medical plans are more important to employees with families than straight cash. Employees think payroll looks at the budget and says "We can afford $30,000.00 per year for this position, no more." and that is how salaries are determined. Well, a little bit more goes into it than just pulling a number from the balance sheet.

Plus, how does a small employer know if they are competitive the labor market? Too often employers pay stale wages and positions go unfilled for months, causing the organization to lose customers and ultimately market share. You can look on some of the employee-based sights, but those have been proven to be somewhat unreliable and the Bureau of Labor Statistics is well, shall we say, dated.

We use industry surveys from leading HR groups that have pooled their resources and can give you a series of compensation and sales and/or executive incentive plans designed to fit your firm's needs, around your culture, and to reward those employees your organization values.
